"We're happy to finally announce the long awaited Gluecifer "Best of and rarities". A two-disc compilation containing excactly what the title says. Releasedate through SonyBMG, Monday April 14.
We know it sucks, but due to some delays and complications it will only be available in Norway for the first two months. Don't worry, label and distribution partners in all other countries are soon to be confirmed and announced. Still you need to squeeze out another few drops of patience until it's on your decks.
We're fully aware that without any Norwegian skills the pre-order link below is gonna be a tricky one. Anyway, check it out and have a look at the tracklist. At least you'll be able to see that there's a lot of good stuff to look forward to. We strongly advise you to buy the record in a phsyical format rather than downloading mp3's. Even though the band is dead, it’s still alive

and so is Gluecifer. Don’t expect to see a whole lot,
but a little info, a short R.I.P. bio, pictures and a few

06.01.2006 Hello and a happy new year to all of you
!
Been a while, and we just wanna give you a little update.
We’re working on a new webpage that’s gonna be
hosted by two huge Gluecifer fans, Ala and Nora from Germany.
It’s in the making right now, and hopefully it’s
gonna be finished within the next couple of weeks. The old
www.gluecifer.com will still be here the way it is today,
but the new one will be designed especially for the fans for
more active use and participaton. The page will feature the
latest news upon any future projects, new webshop, jukebox,
become fan of the month, win cool prizes, post your own Glue-related
pictures, that kind of stuff. More info is soon to follow.
Have recieved a lot of questions about the guys, their situation
and future plans. Not an awful lot to tell right now, but
all the guys seem to be doing pretty good and are pre-occupied
on different levels. If you have other questions for the bandmembers
you can send them to Ala-and-Nora@gmx.de, and the answers
will soon be posted on the new site.
Captain Poon has rented a little studio in Oslo, where he’s
writing new songs, making demos and putting a new band together.
More info about the project will be revealed soon.
Raldo is working for his recordcompany Tuba, doing a little
production, and he’s gonna be playing some liveshows
with a Norwegian group called Cloroform in the future (it’s
not a rock’n’roll band).
Biff is currently working for the national radio.
Not quite sure what Stu Manx is up to these days, but he was
the first one to say he had joined a new band after the Gluecifer
break-up, the band was called the 3856.
NEW RELEASES
There are also future releases on the agenda, but please note
that no releasedates are yet to be confirmed. Captain Poon
will produce A “Best of” Gluecifer with a bonus
disc featuring obscure and unreleased material.
A DVD from the farewell show at Sentum scene is in the making,
looks just fantastic, and it will be released later this year.
A new and updated version of the first three records, will
hopefully be available sometime during 2006. “Ridin’
the tiger”, “Soaring with eagles at night…”,
“Tender is the savage” were all released by Swedish
label White jazz between 1997-2000.Captain Poon says “I
am just sick and tired of watching the way these records have
been treated, even being totally unavailable in so many countries.
It’s about time to do something about that. The label
having the rights for these records today seem to be pretty
co-operative though. The band is history now, and the least
thing we should do is making the bloody history available
for everyone to enjoy.
04.01.2006 HEY!
I´m back in Norway from LA after 6 months of going to
MI. I took drum lessons there & had a great time hanging
out with a lot of fun people. Right before I went back Todd
Youth of The Chelsea Smiles asked if I would play drums on
his new side-project. Todd, who has played with many very
well known bands before (Danzig, D-Generation, Murphy´s
Law & Chrome Locust) had 10 songs that Sami Yaffa (Hanoi
Rocks & New York Dolls) & I were asked to play on.
Of course I said yes & we had a great time recording Todd´s
songs. We also recorded a version of New York Dolls´
Chatterbox. The album (project & album title not confirmed
yet) will be released sometime next year on Acetate Records
so look out for this release coming to a cool record store

Hi guys, just some final words from a big fan.
Halloween in New York Friday 10.28.05, was the last night
for anyone to see Biff Malibu, Captain Poon, Danny Young,
Raldo Useless and Stu Manx share the stage (at least that’s
what they claim).Being a fan of the band ever since they released
their first album “Ridin’ the tiger” back
in 97, this was a very strange but an absolute legendary moment.
The show was killer, and as I was watching I couldn’t
help thinking, what the hell is wrong with these guys, why
the hell do they wanna end their story tonight, they’ve
never been better than they are right now. But I’m just
a fan so what do I know, there are probably a lot of different
reasons.
Anyway, I just wanna say on behalf of the Glueciferfans, the
Gluecifercult, the Gluecifercommunity, every single person
that has ever had the pleasure of being introduced to your
music and seeing you guys live, THANK YOU! You have meant
so much to so many people, and having you here for your very
last performance was a great honour. Good luck with your new
band Captain, guess you know there’s a lot of people
who can’t wait to hear, and to the rest of you whatever
you do (something that has to do with music I hope), good
luck in the future.

Avskjedsturneen har i sin helhet vært helt utrolig.
Alle konsertene har vært over all forventning, og Norge
var så langt ifra noe unntak. Til tross for at det har
vært merkelig å vite hele veien at i kveld er
siste kvelden Gluecifer står på scena i denne
byen, har publikum sørget for at det har føltes
desto mer meningsfylt. Det har vært viktig for oss og
avslutte karrieren på en bra måte, og det kunne
ikke blitt bedre.
Å stå foran et jublende publikum som så
til de grader ønsker deg velkommen for en siste gang
har vært en ære. Armer i været, rekordhøy
allsang, verdens mest fornøyde tryner i salen, roser
på scena, og et passe harry innslag av puppeflashing.
Helt perfekt.
At det blir litt emosjonelt når det er aller siste gang
er helt på sin plass. Unge jenter og til og med voksne
menn som gråter, jeg må ærlig innrømme
at vi ble veldig rørt. Dere har gitt oss mange minner
som vi aldri vil glemme, og forhåpentligvis er det vice
versa.

It’s no secret that Germany has meant a lot to us as
a band. You were one of the first countries to pick us up
and take us into your hearts. Long before we became one of
the most famous bands back home, people knew we had a great
career going on down in Europe, and especially in Germany.
We’re extremely greatful for what you’ve done
for Gluecifer, and all the great times you’ve given
us. These four farewell shows were some of the greatest of
all times, and it’s all because of you. People crying
in front of the stage, thousands of hands in the air, and
the longest show we’ve ever played. No matter how sad
it is when things come to an end this was a fantastic way
to end it.
On behalf of Biff, Danny, Raldo, Stu and myself, thanks a
million times.

Gluecifer has been invited by Little Steven to do a final
gig in NYC Oct.28. The show will be the last Gluecifer show
ever, and the band is really happy to finish their carreer
in one of their favorite cities.

doing their last eastcoast show as well. In other words, this

Just finished the first leg of the farewell tour, and it was
four fantastic days. Don´t wanna go all emotional here,
but it´s sad knowing this was the last time for Gluecifer
in Spain. Thanks to every single one of you who came to the
shows, and thanks for all the great moments you have given
us. You´ll never see Gluecifer again, but you won´t
get rid of me. I´ll be back with a new outfit as soon

Had to write a little report and show you guys a few pictures
from my already mentioned stay in LA. I was there visiting
Danny for about two weeks, most of the time was spent in West
Hollywood, but we also made a weekend trip to Las Vegas, and
a quick down to Orange County.

Famous German rocker and glue buddy Bela B from Die Ärtzte
will be spinning records at the Gluecifer show at SO36 in
Berlin. There will also be held an official aftershowparty
hosted by Uncle Sallys later on at a place called Sage Club
in Kreuzberg.
The first 75 Gluecifer fans who send their name to flo@sallys.net
will be on the guestlist, and get a free entrance to the final
party with the Kings of rock. Members of Gluecifer will be
playing their favourite records.

We’re sad to hear that the local promotors have a been
a mess. All the promostuff for everyone who signed up for

to be on it’s way right now, even though it’s
getting kinda late. Anyway, thanks again to all of you who
signed up, and we hope you get the job done.
REHEARSALS
Just got back from LA, and had to go straight to the rehearsal
room. Strange feeling knowing these are the last days we’ll
ever spend in there with Gluecifer. Apart from that it didn’t
take more than a couple of hours finding the right chemistry,
and make it sound good. Haven’t played these songs together
for almost a year, but I guess some of them can be put on
ice for another fifty and we’d still be able to play
them tight as hell.
Means you guys don’t have to worry about anything but
getting a ticket for the show.

BREAKDOWN
There's been communication trouble between the band, web host
and booking agency. This has led to a few misunderstandings
and we're all really sorry.
FAREWELL SHOWS was confirmed and closed a long time ago, but
there's still been the "More shows are soon to be announced.."
on the index, sorry big mistake. To all the people who's been
sending us mails, and requested shows apart from the ones
on the list, thanks Gluecifer appreciate the effort, just
sad to say it won't be possible.
STREET TEAM. Lists with names was closed some two weeks ago,
and were passed on to Gluecifer's promotors, hope all the
people on those lists will get posters/flyers soon. The band
is really grateful and wanna say thanks to all you guys who
make an extra effort, it means a lot.

Desolate city will be have it’s first spin on Norwegian
channel TV2’s ”Absolutt underholdning”,
Wednesday at 18.00 this week. The video will appear along
with an interview with Captain Poon.. For those of you who
live outside Norway, you can watch both versions of the video
here, from the very same day. The song has been written for
the upcoming Norwegian movie ”IZZAT”. The song
will be released exclusively as a radio single, but will appear
as the opening track on the soundtrack for ”IZZAT”

Raldo and Biff decided to call it a day, a couple of months
ago, as the band members were discussing future plans. It's
really sad to say this, but there's no more Gluecifer. The
guys are on vacation right now, but they'll be in touch on
www.gluecifer.com within the next few days. Read the official

Hi everyone !
We just shot the video for our new song "Desolate city".
We had to use a stand-in on drums,'cause Danny went to LA,
a week ago, to attend some sort of drum school. For those
who thought he was skilled enough before he went, wait till
he comes back. A friend of ours stepped in. A guy called Børge,
who plays in a great Norwegian band called Brut Boogaloo.
The video is gonna be on rotation in Norway from the middle
of August. It's not yet decided, if it's gonna be released
in any other countries.. The song is made for the Norwegian
movie "IZZAT", and so is the video. If no commercial
release of the material elsewhere, of course the song and
video will be streamed on this page, around release. A few

Gluecifer in the studio!
Gluecifer has just been recording a track for an upcoming
Norwegian movie. The song is called “Desolate city”,
a great powerful tune, that will fit the movie perfect. The
movie carries the title “IZZAT” which means “Honour”
in Pakistani.
“Desolate city” will be released on the soundtrack
for the movie, and as a radiosingle. A video will be shot
within the next two weeks.
Captain Poon has put the whole soundtrack together. The record
will feature all important Norwegian rockbands from the last
two-three decades.

Hi everyone!
It’s been a long time, hope you’re all doing allright.
There’s not a whole lot of musicrelated activity, in
the Gluecifer camp these days. As you may know, we’re
usually on a pretty tight touring and recording schedule.
Because of that, some of the members of this band, felt like
doing something else for a little while.
And me, The Captain? I’m putting together a soundtrack
for a Norwegian movierelease, called ”IZZAT”,
coming out this fall. The soundtrack will include songs from
well-known, and a few more obscure Norwegian rockbands. This
record will hopefully include a little surprise, for the ones
who care about Gluecifer.
The other guys?, not quite sure, except that they’re
all doing fine.

For those who may wonder!
As some of you may have seen, there’s not a lot of action
on this page at the moment. The band is having a break these
days, and there’s not a whole lot going on. As mentioned
earlier, Gluecifer will be staying off the road this year.
Seems like everyone needed some air, after last years touringschedule.We’ll
keep you posted on any future activities within the band.

as one of five records in the class "Rock album of the

Just wanna tell you all, that things are looking better in
the Glue-camp. Biff is catching up, and we’re definetely
gonna do the last leg of this tour. This Saturday we’re
flying to Germany to do the supportshows with Die Toten Hosen,

more eager than ever, to go out there and play, and put the
incidents from the last couple of weeks behind us. See you

.HIS BODY HAS BEEN INFECTED BY
SOME HEAVY VIRUS, AND HE HASN’T BEEN ABLE TO EAT, AND
COULD HARDLY GET OUT OF BED. THE DOCTOR HAS NOW TOLD HIM,
THAT HE WILL GET BETTER SOON, BUT HE NEEDS REST AND RECOVERY.

CAREER, SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS. WE HAVE ALWAYS MANAGED
TO GET OUR SHIT TOGETHER AND DO THE SHOW, NO MATTER WHAT.

OUR CONTROL.

Due to the condition of our singer, Biff Malibu, we have been
forced to cancel the two shows. One in Bochum, Germany, and
one in Hasselt, Belgium. We have been lucky enough to get
a new date for the Bochum show, on Dec. 12. Biff has been
set back by some weird virus infection, but he's slowly getting
back on track. Thank's to all of you, who sent him your regards

We're sorry to inform you that the Gluecifer show in Madrid
Dec.3, is cancelled due to trouble at the venue. After what
happened on the tour with Monster magnet earlier this year,
the band is really bummed out about the incident. It's important
for the band to let you all know that this has nothing to

The show in Copenhagen Nov 10th is cancelled. Gluecifer are
sorry for this, the cancellation is due to circumstances beyond
the band's control. We hope to come back some other time.

Gluecifer just finished recording a track for the upcoming
sampler "No Music Requests". This compilation celebrates
the 20th anniversary of Oslo's somewhat legendary bar Last
Train. Gluecifer's track is called "You keep me up all
night". The record is scheduled to come out

Stockholm is now confirmed. The show will be at Mondo 4/11,
with The Flaming Sideburns from Finland. It’s also the
10 year anniversary of Gluecifer’s good friends and
colleagues The Hellacopters, who will appear as djs. Go and
get your ticket, this is a hot one.
