Basement Apes CD/LP
Sony/Epic Scandinavia SPV/Steamhammer (rest of the world) 2002

Poon says:
We needed a new home, we needed to revitalise our own recipes, and we needed inspiration. We started to work with norwegian producer, Kåre Vestreim, which happened to be a fantastic way to open up a bit, from our own strict rules, and sometimes narrow-minded ways of thinking. The whole album was recorded without any recordlabels involved, and the whole session was financed by ourselves.
We had a gutfeeling that told us we were doing the right thing, and it's an album we're all very proud of. New recordeals, and all that shit, were signed after we had a finished product in our hands, and it happened to be Sony and SPV, who got our signatures, in the end.
So, to those of you who said we were playing by the rules of the bigger labels, I have to wreck all your silly thoughts, this whole thing was done, our own way, more than any other album.
